My Brain-Boosting Day in Action
Every day, I kickstart my brain and body with my trusty 1.3-liter thermos—it’s super convenient because it has a straw, making it easy to sip throughout the day. I fill it with lemon juice, a pinch of Himalayan salt, and water from my faucet filter and I make sure to refill it at least 3 times (I’m a camel 😄). During the weekend, I squeeze enough lemon juice to last the week, sometimes adding mint or cucumber slices if I have time in the mornings.
After my morning workout, I fuel up with a boiled sweet potato and a smoothie packed with blueberries, banana, and dark chocolate and chia seeds, among others. This combo gives me the perfect energy boost and keeps brain fog at bay.
When the afternoon slump hits, I reach for a handful of walnuts. They’re my go-to brain snack, perfect for keeping me mentally strong for the rest of the day. Come dinnertime, I sometimes sprinkle roasted sunflower seeds on veggies. It’s an easy way to pack in B vitamins and iron while adding a satisfying crunch to the meal.
